Sonitpur District Holds Review Meeting on Petroleum, LPG Infrastructure, and PMUY Progress

District Commissioner of Sonitpur, Shri Ananda Kumar Das, chaired a key review meeting today at Conference Hall-I of the DC’s Office.

The session brought together officials from the Food, Public Distribution & Consumer Affairs Department along with other concerned personnel to address crucial regional infrastructure and beneficiary updates.

Key Focus Areas

1. Strengthening Fuel & LPG Accessibility

The meeting heavily focused on the proposed establishment of new infrastructure at Bhalukpong, including:

• New petrol pumps
• A dedicated LPG Distribution Centre

These projects are aimed at directly improving accessibility to essential fuel and cooking gas across the region.

2. PMUY Beneficiary Seeding Update

Discussions were also held on the current status of the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) implementation. Officials placed strong emphasis on ensuring timely completion and effective execution of the mandatory 100% identification seeding for all regional PMUY beneficiaries.
