District Commissioner Inspects Proposed Site for Bus Stand Auto Stand & Vendor Spaces Near TMCH

District Commissioner of Sonitpur, Shri Ananda Kumar Das, inspected a proposed site near Tezpur Medical College & Hospital (TMCH) for the planned development of a bus stand, an auto-rickshaw stand, and designated spaces for roadside vendors.

He was accompanied by the Circle Officer of Tezpur Revenue Circle, the District Transport Officer (DTO), and representatives from other concerned departments.

• Boundary Clearance: The District Commissioner instructed that the prescribed distance from the TMCH boundary wall must be strictly maintained while accommodating vendors, ensuring pedestrian safety and smooth traffic flow.
• Systematic Planning: He emphasized that the proposed amenities must be developed in a structured, organized manner following all applicable norms.
• Core Goal: The project aims to improve overall traffic management and enhance public convenience around the hospital area.
