Government Relief Materials Dispatched from Sonitpur to Sivasagar

Under the guidance of the Honorable Chief Minister of Assam, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, consignments of government flood relief materials were dispatched today from the District Commissioner’s Office, Sonitpur, in solidarity with the flood-affected residents of Sivasagar district.

Key Details of the Dispatch

• Supervision: District Commissioner of Sonitpur, Shri Ananda Kumar Das, personally overseen the packaging and dispatch of relief materials from Tezpur, Dhekiajuli, and Thelamara.
• Present Officials: The District Commissioner was accompanied by representatives from:
  • District Administration
  • District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), Sonitpur
  • Food, Public Distribution & Consumer Affairs (FPD&CA) Area Inspectors
  • Other concerned government officials

Mission Objective

The relief consignments were sent to support ongoing assistance efforts in Sivasagar district, reaffirming the commitment of the Government of Assam and the Sonitpur District Administration to stand by flood-affected communities.
