Observance of Swachha Pakhwada Tezpur 2016
SWACHHA PAKHWADA AND IT’S SIGNIFICANCE
- Swachh Bharat Abhiyan is also called as the Clean India Mission or Clean India drive or Swachh Bharat Campaign. It is a national level campaign run by the Government of India to cover all the backward statutory towns to make them clean. This campaign involves the construction of latrines, promoting sanitation programmes in the rural areas, cleaning streets, roads and changing the infrastructure of the country to lead the country ahead. This campaign was officially launched by the Hon’ble Prime Minister, Sri Narendra Modi on 145th birth anniversary of the Rashtrapita Mahatma Gandhi on 2nd of October in 2014 at Rajghat, New Delhi. In Sonitpur and Biswanath District, we also observed Swachha Bharat Abhiyan for 15 Days with District Administration and other Organisations.
- Based on the directions of Min of Defence & Ministry of Drinking Water & Sanitation, Govt of India, we are also planning to observe Swachha Pakhwada from 01 Dec to 15 Dec 2016 in Sonitpur and Biswanath Dist jointly with Dist Admin, Local Army, Police auth, GIMT/other College/Schools, Businessmen/Establishments, Ex-Servicemen Associations as Champions & EDUPUR Society will take up special cleanliness drives in residential and market areas.
- On this Swachhta Campaign in the public places like villages , primary schools, Panchayat Bhavans,Primary Health Centers we spread the motto of cleanliness amongst general public and school children.
