The play “Chanakya” started with National Anthem by the group “Dharamjan” from Mumbai started at 6:30 pm in the Nehru Maidam. The medium of the play was in Hindi language. The play was directed by Padma Shri Manoj Joshi. He was a great actor. He has literally lived the role of Chanakya in the play. The play looks at the struggle between freedom and poltical system. The play is the modest attempt of the group “Dharamjan” to read those glorious pages from the past. The play proclaimed that the Nation is supreme and there should always be selfless love for the nation.
