Sonitpur Hosts District Level Standing Committee on Fertilizer Meeting

District Commissioner Shri Ananda Kumar Das chaired a meeting of the District Level Standing Committee on Fertilizer (DLSCF) today at the Conference Hall of the District Commissioner’s Office, Sonitpur.

The meeting brought together key administration officials and agriculture stakeholders, including:

• Shri Jayanta Kumar Bora (CEO, Sonitpur Zilla Parishad)
• Shri Tridib Roy (ADC, Agriculture)
• Shri Durga Kingkar Sharma (DSP)
• Shri Pradip Talukdar (District Agriculture Officer)
• Officials from the Agriculture Department and representatives of fertilizer agencies.

The committee reviewed the district’s preparedness for the ongoing agricultural season, specifically evaluating:

• Overall stock positions
• Distribution mechanisms

Directives Issued: The District Commissioner instructed concerned departments and authorized agencies to closely monitor fertilizer stocks and ensure equitable distribution across the district. He emphasized taking proactive measures to address any supply issues, ultimately safeguarding the interests of the farming community and supporting agricultural productivity in Sonitpur.
