Tezpur Municipal Board -Safai Karmacharis allowed payment of Semi-Skilled Wages

A long-standing demand of Tezpur Municipal Board -Safai Karmachari workers and Harijan Workers Union, Sonitpur for payment of Semi Skilled Wages to them as fixed by the Govt. of Assam, since 2016 was fulfilled today when the authorities of TMB accepted to their demand.

While talking to this correspondent Kamakhya Basfor, Secretary, Tezpur Harijan Mazdoor Union expressed his joy over the acceptance of their demand. He said that those Safai Karmachari workers of TMB who have completed last 10 (Ten) years of continuous service in TMB  are eligible for the wages. Later, they felicitated Assistant Labour Commissioner, Sonitpur, Tezpur, Jagannath Pokhrel for his constant efforts with TMB for sanctioning their demand for semi-skilled wages.

In total 70 (seventy) Tezpur Municipal Board – Safai Karmachari workers have been benefited.
