Tractors distributed under Chief  Ministers’s Samarga Gramya Unnayan Yojana

Under the Chief Ministers’s Samarga Gramya Unnayan Yojana (CMSGUY), district agriculture department in collaboration with Sonitpur district administration distributed 25 tractors to beneficiaries of different revenue villages of the district today at auditorium of district library.

The program was inaugurated by water resource minister kashab Mahanta in the presence of labour minister Pallab Lochan das and all the MLA’s of the Sonitpur district. During this program Kashab Mahanta said ”Total 1,365 application has been received in first phase from different revenue villages of SHG’s groups and from them 427 has been selected and 25 distributed today. Rest of the tractors would be distributed to the beneficiaries before August 15.” He further added that “State Government of Assam has several schemes for farmers for their development in agriculture sector and it is also very important for farmers to avail these Government Schemes.”

The labour minister Pallab Lochan Das, Local MLA Brindaban Goswami also Spoke in the program where Deputy Commissioner Sonitpur, Manoj Kumar Deka gave the welcome address with many other dignitaries along with agriculture district officers were attended in this program.
