05/02/2025-The Honorable Minister of Health & Family Welfare and Irrigation, Government of Assam, Shri Ashok Singhal, graced the inaugural Zonal Level performance of Jhumoir Binandini (Mega Jhumoir) 2025, held on 4th February at Church Field, Tezpur. This vibrant event brought together performers from Sonitpur, Biswanath, and Nagaon, along with skilled musicians, Master Trainers, and members of the Expert Committee from each district, in a glorious celebration of unity and tradition.
Shri Ankur Bharali, District Commissioner of Sonitpur, congratulated all participants and expressed confidence in their historic performance ahead. The event was further honored by the presence of Honourable MLAs Shri Prithiraj Rava (Tezpur), Shri Promod Borthakur (Biswanath), and Shri Diganta Ghatowal (Behali), alongside Smti. Karabi Saikia Karan, CEO of Sonitpur Zilla Parishad. Also in attendance were the Central Choreographers of Jhumoir Binandini (Mega Jhumoir) 2025, Shri Ranjit Gogoi, Shri Sajan Nayak, and Shri Mangal Nayak—along with other esteemed dignitaries, leading citizens, and members of the local community.
