On February 7, 2025: The second day’s training session commenced with an introduction to the resource person, Jyoti Prasad Borah, Assistant Executive Engineer, PWD (Building). A total of 40 masons, 20 from Gabhoru Block and 20 from Bihaguri Block, participated in the session.
The primary objective of the training was to emphasize the crucial role of masons in constructing safe houses and buildings. It was highlighted that they bear the responsibility of ensuring that the structures they build can withstand natural disasters such as earthquakes. Question-and-answer session was also conducted where mesons clarified their doubts and interacted with the resource person on various topics. Participants received certificates upon completion of the training. This initiative is expected to contribute significantly to safer infrastructure development in Sonitpur and beyond.
