District Level Transgender Committee Meeting Held at Sonitpur

District Commissioner Shri Ananda Kumar Das today presided over a meeting of the District Level Transgender Committee (DLTC) at the DC’s Conference Hall in Sonitpur to review pending applications for Transgender Identity Cards and Certificates submitted through the National Portal for Transgender Persons.

The meeting was attended by CEO of Sonitpur Zilla Parishad Shri Jayanta Kumar Bora, CDC Barchalla Shri Kamal Baruah, the District Social Welfare Officer, along with other concerned officials.

During the meeting, the committee deliberated on the pending applications and examined issues related to the smooth processing of identity certification, while also emphasizing the need to ensure inclusive welfare measures and support for transgender persons across the district.
