District Emergency Procurement Committee Approves Flood Relief Supplies for Sivasagar

The District Emergency Procurement Committee (DEPC) convened today under the chairmanship of District Commissioner, Sonitpur, Shri Ananda Kumar Das, to review and approve the emergency procurement of relief materials for flood-affected residents in Sivasagar district.

Key Decisions & Highlights

• Procurement Approval: The committee approved emergency procurement from the open market in accordance with the provisions of the Assam Public Procurement Rules, 2020.
• Rate Fixation: Members deliberated on the urgent need for supplies and discussed fixing ceiling rates to guarantee the timely procurement and dispatch of essential relief materials as per established norms.
• Ongoing Support: Under the guidance of the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Assam, the Sonitpur District Administration has been dispatching relief material packets under the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to Sivasagar district continuously since 25 July 2026.
