It is a sprawling pond covering an area of 240 bighas, constructed during the reign of Hazarabarma. From November to March, the pond becomes a haven for migratory water birds of various species, whose melodic chirping adds to the serene atmosphere, making it a popular destination for bird lovers.A nearby field is being developed into a stadium for outdoor sports, while in the British era, the pond’s banks were used for horse racing. Today, it serves as a swimming pool for training purposes. Adjacent to the pool, there is a “Youth Hostel” guest house, further enhancing its appeal as a recreational and tourist spot.
