27/01/2025: The Sonitpur district administration marked the 76th Republic Day with a grand celebration at Church Field, Tezpur. Shri Pijush Hazarika, Hon’ble Minister of Information, Public Relations, Printing & Stationery, Water Resources, and Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of Assam, attended the event as the Chief Guest.
The celebration commenced with the Hon’ble Minister unfurling the Tiranga and inspecting the Guard of Honour. Earlier in the day, he paid floral tributes to Mahatma Gandhi at the bust located in the District Commissioner’s office premises.
