The District Road Safety Committee (DRSC) meeting was held today at the Conference Hall of the District Commissioner’s Office, Sonitpur. The Co-District Commissioner of Naduar, Shri Raj Boruah was also present in the meeting. Shri Boruah emphasized the importance of accurate data entry in platforms like CCTNS, iRAD, and DRSC Assam, for a proper assessment of accident fatalities and injury data.
The Officials were given a demonstration of the iRAD and DRSC portals to streamline the data entry process. He also urged departments to propose practical road safety initiatives and use digital media to raise awareness. Special focus was given to the effective implementation of the Chota Cop initiative.
The meeting was attended by Additional SP (Security & Intelligence) Shri Satkhokai Changsan. The Superintending Engineer of PWRD cum Member Secretary DRSC Shri Ajit Kumar Medhi, the District Transport Officer, and officials from various stakeholder departments also attended the meeting.
