In preparation for the upcoming NEET (UG) Re-Examination 2026 scheduled for 21st June, District Commissioner Shri Ananda Kumar Das and Senior Superintendent of Police Shri Barun Purkayastha conducted site inspections across Sonitpur district today.
It may be noted that there are 5 designated exam centres in the district.
Centres Inspected
The officials visited the following location sites to review overall readiness:
- PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 2, Air Force Station, Salonibari
- Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 1, Tezpur (Solmara)
- PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya, Lokra
- Kendriya Vidyalaya, Tezpur University, Napaam
Key Areas Evaluated
During the visits, the administrative and police heads directly inspected essential infrastructure and arrangements to ensure a smooth, fair, and peaceful conduct of the examination. The evaluation focused on:
- Security arrangements and frisking points
- CCTV surveillance networks
- Biometric verification facilities
- Candidate seating arrangements
The officials also interacted with centre authorities on-site, directing all concerned agencies to maintain strict adherence to exam guidelines and security protocols.
