Tezpur: The District Commissioner of Sonitpur, Shri Ananda Kumar Das, today convened a review meeting with officials from the Public Works Department (PWD), National Highways (NH), and contractor representatives engaged in the construction of the Mission Chariali Flyover.
During the meeting, the District Commissioner took serious cognizance of issues relating to the maintenance of service roads and strongly stressed the need to expedite the ongoing construction work.
Key Directives Issued by the District Commissioner:
- Accelerate Progress: Expedite the construction work of the ongoing flyover project.
- Road Maintenance: Focus immediately on the proper maintenance of adjacent service roads.
- Public Welfare: Ensure proper execution of the project while strictly maintaining public convenience and safety.
On-Ground Site Inspection
Following the review meeting, District Commissioner Shri Ananda Kumar Das visited the Mission Chariali Flyover construction site for a first-hand, on-ground assessment of the project’s progress and related issues.
He was accompanied during the site inspection by:
