Bhairabi Temple

Bhairabi Temple is located on the eastern outskirts of Tezpur town, overlooking the Brahmaputra River. According to legend, Usha, the daughter of King Bana, worshipped at this sacred site. Dedicated to the Goddess Bhairabi, the current temple is a modern construction, as the original ancient structure is believed to have been destroyed by natural calamities. The area around the temple is scattered with stones and old bricks, remnants of its historical past, adding to its mystical and spiritual charm.
