It is an applied science, a systematized collection of laws applied to bring about a definite end. It takes up the laws of psychology, applicable to the unfolding of the whole consciousness of man on every plane, in every world, and applies those rationally in a particular case. This rational application of the laws of unfolding consciousness acts exactly on the same principles that you see applied around you every day in other departments of science, Mahanta added. The Programme was also attended nearly thousand people including ADC of Sonitpur, various NGOs, Students of Schools and Colleges, staffs of state government offices among others and practiced yoga.

On the other hand, a major event was organized here at Missamari Military Station with enthusiastic participants exceeding 1000 in numbers. Lt Col Harsh Wardhan Pande Defence PRO, Tezpur said these Yoga sessions were aimed at encouraging the Army personnel and their families to translate the practices of Yoga into a way of life, with an overall intent of enabling them to achieve harmony of the mind and body which would lead to a healthy and happy life.
